The Open Melody Software Group .

The Open Melody Software Group ("OMSG") is a US (California State) non-profit being incorporated* to:

  • Protect the intellectual property of the Melody code base, tools, and libraries while offering it for use under an open source license.

  • Hold in the trust all of the contributions made by the community and ensures that those contributions serve the public benefit and interests of the Melody community's interest.

  • Support the greater Melody and Movable Type communities through through events, and grants, and to provide essential technical, legal and organizational infrastructure for the Melody project and the community as a whole.

* - The OMSG is currently awaiting certification by the State of California to operate as a non-profit at which time, paperwork will be filed to be officially recognized as a 501(c)(3).
